Join us this December at Breast Cancer Network of Strength Illinois and learn about our exciting volunteer opportunities! This event is for supporters to meet our staff, network with other volunteers, to re-connect with the organization and find ways that you can give back to the community.

“We’re Moving On” Support Group meets the 1st Tuesday of the month from 7pm to 9pm at West Suburban Hospital, Center for Breast Care, 420 Williams St., Suite 1000, 1st Floor, River Forest.
New Polish Support Group: Our first support group meeting will be at Healing Center, Glenview, 222 Waukegan Rd Friday, October 24 at 6:30pm. The group will be lead by well known in polish community psychologist Krystyna Lukawska Ma, LCPC together with Jadwiga Baran-breast cancer survivor. Call Gabriela with questions, (312) 364-9071x12.
On October 3, 2008, President Bush signed into law the charitable IRA legislation (effective for 2008 and 2009), which allows donors who are 70 ½ or older to move up to $100,000 per year from their IRA directly to an eligible charity without having to pay income taxes on the money. Breast Cancer Network of Strength Illinois is proud to offer wigs, breast prosthetics, and other breast cancer-related accessories, free of charge to breast cancer patients that have limited financial resources. Our trained patient services assistant helps select the wig and/or prosthesis that is right for the patient, in a confidential and comfortable setting. >>Learn more
In order to maintain the stock of our Wig & Prosthesis Salon, we rely on donations of new or gently used wigs, prostheses, and bras from individuals and corporations. If you would like to donate products, or to make a financial contribution, please contact us to make arrangements.
