A brand new public square, called Barnardo’s Plaza, has opened in Dublin City right outside City Hall’s door and Douglas and Kaldi, the café at Dublin’s City Hall, now have an extensive outdoor seating area there. City Hall is a breathtaking Georgian building in the neo-classical style steeped in the city’s history. “The Story of the Capital” exhibition in the atmospheric vaults offers a great introduction to the city’s history.

This multimedia exhibition traces the evolution of Dublin from 1170 to the present day in a user-friendly and easy-to-understand way using interactive touch-screens, medieval manuscripts, models and the city’s priceless treasures.

A tourist brochure for North Clare's Aillwee Cave distinguished itself in an international business forum when it was selected from over 160,000 entrants in the prestigious Best Brochure Awards.
Beating off high-calibre competitors such as Disney, the brochure designed by Kilrush based company, The Phoenix Effect, was chosen as the overall winner at an awards ceremony in the USA.
