Irish Heritage Week will run from August 25th to September 2nd 2007.
Heritage Week is part of European Heritage Days, which is a chance for people across Europe to celebrate their rich and varied heritage, through special events and activities.
With almost 1,000 events across the country there’s something for everyone: guided nature and archaeological walks, lectures, tours of historical buildings, food fairs, music, dance, storytelling, historic gardens, historical re-enactments and more.
Many events are FREE and National Heritage sites offer concession rates during the week. To search for events county by county, visit www.heritageweek.ie or Callsave 1800 200 878.

To register an event in Heritage Week visit www.heritageweek.ie and register before June 22nd 2007. Events should celebrate Ireland’s natural, built and cultural heritage and can be held at venues such as historical sites, parks, gardens, woodlands, wildlife reserves, waterways, cultural institutions, community halls and heritage centres. Wherever possible, organisers should aim to make events family and child-friendly.
