Potomac Association Organizes Conversations on Racism Potomac Association clergy, congregations and friends are invited to join in a series of conversations about racism, scheduled over the next few weeks. The goals are to acknowledge racism in the church and society; to work together to dismantle it by engaging in conversations about how it affects individuals and churches; to live out God's call of transformation as the beloved community and to build an anti-racist identity, church and network. The October 11 session, "Race, Racism. . .. the Biblical Narratives and Current Realities," will be held from 9 to 11:45 a.m. at Bethesda United Church of Christ and will feature Dr. Cain Hope Felder. The second, "Anti-Immigrant Sentiment: Patriotism or Exclusion?", will be held from 9 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday November 1 at National City Christian Church in Washington, DC. The third session, "Racism and Urban Poverty," will be held Saturday November 15 from 9 to 11:30 at Covenant Baptist Church in Washington, DC.
