Girls
International Forum in Action
View our 6-minute video "Listen to Girls" posted on YouTube!
The video shows young women from around the world meeting in St. Paul in an international summit to learn the leadership skills they need to change the world.
Girls International Forum is a girl-led
organization, where girls learn leadership skills by taking direct
action, including planning and facilitating our events. We are currently
raising funds to host our second international summit. Please click

for the second international summit, hosting Global Girls Day, and
launching an improved interactive website.
Global Girls
Day
Girls International Forum (GIF) created Global Girls Day as a way
for more girls to learn about the issues facing girls all around
the world. For two years, Girls International Forum has hosted a
Global Girls Day event at Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota.
For this event, Girl Summit Leaders (girls from our national planning
team of girls) facilitated workshops on girls’ education, human
trafficking, gender-based violence, and HIV/AIDS. Presenters from
the Minnesota AIDS Project, Asian Media Access, TVByGirls, Civil
Society, WATCH, and New Moon Magazine have all helped make Global
Girls Day a great success!
The Girls Summit Leaders are currently developing a model for hosting
a Global Girls Day event in your community! Please check back for
more information.
Please browse our website and consider joining us to advance girls
rights. Feel free to contact us with any questions and comments
at gif@girlsforum.org.
