Our Mission

Family Meals in Minutes

Providing quick, healthy and cost-effective meals is the ultimate challenge for harried parents. Kids who eat regular sit-down dinners with their family take in more fruits and vegetables, and scarf down fewer fried foods and soft drinks when they're away from home. They also benefit from higher self-esteem, school performance and development. FMIM works with a transitional living community to help busy families integrate healthy food, cooking and eating into their lives through conducting cooking/nutrition workshops for young parents.

Growing Healthy Students

Studies show that healthy eating and daily physical activity have a profound overall impact on the body and mind. Junior League of San Diego sends our thoughts and prayers to the regions surrounding Galveston and Houston, Texas that have been so devastated by Hurrican Ike.  Many of our members come from this area or have loved ones who have been affected. The Association of Junior Leagues is monitoring the situation closely and waiting for word from the Leagues in the affected areas to let us know how we can help.  Once we have more information, we will pass this along to you. We received generous support from League members around the country after last year's tragic fires, and hope that we can return the generosity to our sister Leagues in this difficult time.
