Why am I not a "sanitation engineer"?

1: I don't think it's possible to engineer anybody's sanity. :)
2: Seriously, I can only haul so much shit on my bike.
3: I'm not a very good driver.
4: And I really shouldn't operate big machinery.
5: I'm not very punctual.
6: And when would I find the time for my other two jobs?
7: I don't look good in a uniform.
8: I'm not as strong as I used to be.
9: I never finished my engineering degree.
10: What is, exactly, a "sanitation engineer"?
