At last we've had time to get some daily comment about the festival online. The 10 wonderful (but draining!) festival days slowed down our team a little! We were so glad to hear the comment "We didn't think it could get any better...but this has been the best Perthshire Amber yet!!". Special International Guests Solas on Radio 2
Just to let you know that Solas will be the featured band on Mike Harding's Radio 2 Folk Show, starting at 7pm next Weds, 22nd Oct (also available online for a week following, on the BBC's Listen Again feature). There will be an interview plus 3 tracks from the new album - all part of raising the band's profile around the album, highlighting their two autumn festival appearances in Pitlochry and Liverpool...
The Niel Gow International Fiddle Composition Award
The Niel Gow International Fiddle Composition Award is new to this years festival and aims to encourage the writing of fiddle music. Find out more about the award and see who the finalists are at www.nielgow.com
