Room-by-Room Safety: Visit the Bathroom
Before you open your home to visitors this holiday season, it is important to identify and fix the hazards present in each room, especially to age groups most vulnerable to home injury—young children and older adults. Take time to conduct a home safety evaluation from another point of view. Start with the bathroom and consider making improvements such as installing grab bars in the tub and shower and taking time to lock-up potential poisons. Even common items like cosmetics, shampoo and mouthwash can be poisonous to young children. Click here for tips to help you make your bathroom and your whole home safe for guests of all ages.
