Mayor's First Day Festival 2008

The 9th Annual Mayor's First Day Festival was held Sunday, August 3, 2008 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Sommet Center (formerly the Nashville Arena) in Downtown Nashville. It was a fun-filled day of celebration of our schools, children and parents.

Mayor Dean hosted a food drive at the festival this year to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank. Attendees were asked to bring a non-perishable food item to help feed the hungry in Nashville.
