The Walter and Leonore Annenberg Public Service Speakers Bureau is a dynamic, diverse group of federal employees ready to educate audiences about the federal workforce and to inspire a new generation to serve. Speakers visit college campuses and other student venues to promote public service and provide resources that will raise awareness of federal career opportunities among young people. Speakers Bureau events range in size and style to fit the needs of the host venue while uniformly providing a dynamic experience that demonstrates the profound impact one can make in federal service.
The Annenberg Speakers Bureau will complement an online profile network of federal employees designed to reach a new generation of public servants in the digital space. Visitors can search Fed profiles by career field or federal agency in order to connect with a real person making a difference for the public. The site will feature message boards and web chats where visitors can ask questions of federal employees as well as an internship directory featuring federal agency opportunities for students. The profile network will soon be launched at makingthedifference.org.
The Speakers Bureau and its online network provide engaging ways to put a face on government and augment the Partnership’s innovative education and outreach efforts.
This program is made possible with the generous support of the Annenberg Foundation.
Please submit requests for speakers at least 8-10 weeks prior to the event date and no later than January 30 for spring semester and August 15 for fall semester.
