Travel Agent Central: New tools for success

Owen Wild, marketing director for Amadeus North America, showcased the newly-launched Amadeus All Fares to Travel Agent magazine's online outlet, Travel Agent Center. Wild told the media outlet that Amadeus is "the first distribution provider to bring this level of integrated search and display functionality right to the agent's desktop."

March 8th: CLIA's cruise3sixty conference, Ft. Lauderdale, FL

Tom Cates, Amadeus North America's chief commercial officer, shared the stage and his outlook with CLIA CEO, Terry Dale during the sold-out cruise3sixty conference. Cates said over the years, distribution and technology for both travel agencies and cruise lines has changed the way cruises are marketed and sold, and this will also enable them to take advantage of the growth that still lies ahead.

March 14th: Hospitality & Operations Technology (HOT) Conference, Dallas, TX

Geert Mol, of Amadeus North America's Hospitality Business Group, participated on a panel session where he outlined the critical role of hospitality business intelligence, and how Amadeus technology is further evolving to enable hoteliers to access and analyze the information they need to best serve their guests and their business.

Amadeus Awards & Recognitions

Deborah Natansohn Award

On February 15th, Amadeus North America received the Deborah Natansohn Award for Support of Heart Disease Awareness in Women.

Amadeus North America received the award in the corporate/business category for actively promoting health and wellness to its employees. For the past six years, Amadeus North America has produced an annual health fair for its Miami employees, inviting hospitals, clinics and individual practitioners to offer discounted services for gym memberships, weight control and other health benefits.

The Deborah Natansohn Award is named after the late president of Seabourn Cruise Line, one of the most influential and inspirational women in the travel industry, who tragically died of a fatal heart attack in 2006.

HSMAI Public Relations Award for "Future Traveller Tribes" campaign

Amadeus’ “Future Traveller Tribes 2020” campaign earned a Gold Adrian Award from the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI).

Now in their 51st year, the Adrian Awards are presented by HSMAI, an international organization of sales and marketing professionals representing all segments of hospitality, travel and tourism.

Three major awards at the 2007 World Travel Awards

Amadeus won the award for the Best Worldwide Supplier for Technological Solutions for Travel, the Best Worldwide CRS/GDS System (for the 2nd time) and the Best Technological Supplier for Search Engines (for the 4th time). Edward Ross, corporate marketing director for Amadeus explains that 'these prizes underline our constant implication to allow our clients to respond better to the growing needs of the contemporary traveler.”
